Are you a passionate and experienced hospitality professional looking for a rewarding role? Join our dynamic team at Crowne Plaza Duqm as a Banquet Supervisor and contribute to creating unforgettable events and exceptional guest experiences. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to oversee our banquet operations.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different at IHG, but you’ll mostly be:
- Liaising with clients to build accurate events bookings
- Delivering exceptional service standards in-person, by email or over the phone
- Establishing client requirements to facilitate their needs effectively
- Responding to meeting & events enquiries and upselling to maximise sales, occupancy and revenue
- Coordinate and supervise banquet events, ensuring smooth operations from setup to teardown.
- Supervise a team of banquet staff, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Collaborate with event planners and clients to understand their requirements and ensure their expectations are met.
- Monitor banquet rooms and ensure they are set up according to event specifications.
- Maintain high standards of service quality, professionalism, and cleanliness.
- Assist in scheduling staff and managing banquet budgets, preparing banquet event orders
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and efficiently.
- Implement and enforce safety and sanitation procedures.
What We need from you:
- Previous experience in banquet or event operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Extensive knowledge of Opera System (Mandatory)
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams and clients.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Proven leadership abilities and the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu planning and event setup.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Familiarity with industry best practices and current trends in banquet operations.
