Data Governance Specialist- Product & Solutions [Ireland]

We currently have a vacancy for a Data Governance Specialist - Product & Solutions on a contract of indefinite duration in the Regulatory & Business Services Division. This role is aligned with the Bank Professional 3 grade and the BP3 salary scale, between € 57,704 and € 76,732 applies. Please click here for further information on our salary scales.

The purpose of this role is to coordinate and develop the Bank’s Data Systems functional support activities; oversee the delivery of the relevant KPIs, metrics, measurements and other relevant systems required to enable an accurate view of the operational and management deliverables for Data Systems; and to ensure the relevant Systems perform within agreed service parameters. This role is situated in the Bank’s Data Governance Team.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the demand and delivery of Data Governance Team projects, enhancements, and configuration changes and participate in wider Central Bank lead projects and business system changes in different roles (e.g. coordination, business analyses, testing) to ensure they are optimally delivered, whilst in line with best practice also.
  • Provide leadership and development to the Data System product team members through effective direction, delegation, and mentoring, thereby allowing all staff members to achieve the required performance standards, focus on continuous improvement, meet their objectives and provide for succession planning within the team.
  • Develop, maintain and provide training and communications to staff in relation to the Bank’s Data Governance systems and frameworks and coach staff on advanced functionality or technical topics to support user adoption and business operations.
  • Manage the monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) of the Data Governance platforms, and maintain strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders to ensure strong engagement and good collaboration on issues resolution.
  • Implement continuous improvement in Data management systems; and collect, evaluate and prioritise requirements and process optimisations to drive efficiency and enhance the quality of the system delivery.
  • Represent the Central Bank on relevant fora as appropriate, to contribute to national and international developments.
Requirements:
  • A degree in IT, business, Data management or a related area or equivalent professional experience.
  • Relevant experience in the area of information technology or knowledge, records, data management, or a similar discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a broad technical operational team, meet tight deadlines, and coordinate work efficiently
  • Project management and or business analysis experience is desireable
  • Proven experience in development and improvement of data management policies and processes.
  • Prior involvement in the implementation of, or working with data management systems.
  • A strong understanding of current issues, trends, developments, standards and good practice in data, knowledge and digital data management.
  • Proven ability to manage, coach and mentor colleagues to ensure skills development and transfer across a broad technical team
  • Skills with a strong customer centric focus, e.g. strong verbal communication skills, analytical skills, being able to think on your feet, strong stakeholder management in terms of following up with people and managing expectations, experience of people and team management.
  • Ability to manage multiple issues and make sure the team drives them to resolution
  • Ability to proactively reflect and challenge when results are not being achieved and address areas requiring resolution
