Job Description:
As an IT Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our server and network infrastructure, as well as providing exceptional support to end-users. Your responsibilities will include managing servers, configuring network devices, troubleshooting PC-related issues, ensuring branch office infrastructure connectivity, and supporting IT security and privacy policy adherence. Your technical skills and customer-focused approach will contribute to the overall efficiency and security of our IT environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the company's server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and monitoring of servers, storage systems, and virtualization platforms (Mainly on Hyper-V)
- Configure and manage network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs, and site-to-site VPN connections to branch offices.
- Ensure smooth branch office connectivity and troubleshoot any network-related issues.
- Implement and maintain data backup solutions, including replication and disaster recovery planning.
- Support and maintain Active Directory, including user management, group policies, and domain controller administration.
- Administrating Microsoft 365 applications and services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and implement system upgrades, patches, and security enhancements.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with IT security and privacy policies.
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and training.
- Provide end-user support and guidance, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
- Provide support for PC/desktop-related issues
- Basic understanding of PABX systems to provide basic support and liaise with vendors for more complex issues.
- Understand of important of privacy policy related PDPA 2010 and provide training to end-users regarding IT Security
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements for the IT environment.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Engineer, with a focus on server and network infrastructure management.
- Solid understanding of server administration, including experience with Hyper-V, hypervisor replication, data backup solutions, and VMware.
- Proficiency in network infrastructure management, including VLANs, firewalls, routing, and VPN technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to provide end-user support for PC-related issues.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, group policies, and domain controller administration.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 administration and support.
- Basic understanding of telephony infrastructure and PABX systems.
- Knowledge of IT security and privacy policies.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
