Procurement Director [Saudi Arabia]


 

Our Client, a leading multinational Project Management Consultancy (PMC) with a strong presence in the Middle East, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Director to join their dynamic team in Jeddah. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the organisation's goals and objectives.
  • Lead and manage the procurement team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
  • Oversee the entire procurement cycle, from supplier selection and negotiation to contract management and performance evaluation.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs and specifications, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and maintain a strong network of reliable vendors.
  • Monitor market trends and evaluate supplier performance to optimise costs and maximise value for the organisation.
  • Implement best practices in procurement processes to enhance efficiency, transparency, and risk management.
  • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and internal teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • MCIPS (Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) certification is essential.
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Director or in a similar senior procurement role within a large organisation.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, strategies, and practices.
  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Excellent leadership abilities with the capacity to drive a high-performance team.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Familiarity with the Middle East procurement market and regulations is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.
