Sales Representative [South Africa]


 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works with a defined sales quota focusing on initiating relationships with multi-level decision-makers through phone, marketing, e-mail/direct mail campaigns, in-person contacts/cold calling, networking, and presentations
  • Achieving monthly sales targets set out in budget
  • Planning, setting budgets and targets
  • Prepare quotes and present to clients as soon as possible meeting clients expectations
  • Prospecting potential customers within the target profile
  • Develop, build and maintain strong relationships with potential customers
  • Develop innovative and creative solutions to identify and develop new customers
  • Sustain sales activities, appointments, proposals, cold calls, database updates and reporting
  • Maintain contact with existing clients and develop new business
  • Planning weekly sales prospects
  • Setting appointments
  • Prepare and present weekly/monthly sales reports at month end/weekly sales meetings
  • Target projects
  • Assisting in training of new sales staff

Experience & Qualification
  • Minimum of two years experience in steel industry preferably in racking and shelving
  • Tertiary qualification would be advantage
  • Technical minded and understanding of CAD drawings
  • Fully computer literate on MS Office, advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Cold calling and telemarketing where necessary
  • Proven sales track record achieving sales targets
  • Valid SA drivers license and own vehicle
  • Presentable, well spoke, strong personality, ability to manage timekeeping, goal orientated
  • Clear credit and criminal record
