Stock Controllers are in charge of making sure that the right amount and type of inventory is always available. They must have a good understanding of how things are shipped and what goes into producing the product or service to keep track on both sides - the production side and customer distribution channels.
Responsibilities
- Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS)
- Enter purchase details (vendors information, invoices, and pricing) into internal databases.
- Place orders to replenish merchandise as needed.
- Oversee storage of products, particularly of fragile items
- Keep updated inventory record.
Requirements and skills
- Proven work experience as a Stock Controller or similar role
- Working knowledge of inventory management.
- Active participation in inventory audits
- Excellent organization skills
- Good communication
