Job Description:
Our Client is seeking a highly motivated Finance Manager to join their small internet based business based in Victoria BC, with employees around the world. The ideal candidate will have experience as a full cycle accountant and manage the accounting function for a recurring revenue internet company. We’re looking for a self starter who is highly motivated and is excited to join a fast paced, growing technology company in the remote work space. This role will assist the CEO, and will be a key member of the team from day one. We look for partners and people we can trust to do the job to the highest standard at every level.

Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of accounting and finance operations, including accounts payable and receivable, cash management, and financial reporting.
Process payroll and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
Manage and maintain accounting software, (Xero).
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Liaise with external auditors and tax professionals as needed.
Provide analysis and insights to the CEO.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
3+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
Experience with a fully remote work environment.
Strong proficiency in accounting software, specifically Xero.
Self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills. You don’t need anyone looking over your shoulders to get your job done correctly!
CPA designation preferred, but not required.
